The reason for being a Stay-at-home mother

I have talked to many SAHM mothers and found out the main reason for them to stay at home is Mother's Instinct. They wish to look after their children by themselves, especially in the early formative years.

For the mother whose monthly income less than S$2,500 in Singapore context, it makes more sense to be a SAHM.
Here explains-

(*PAP childcare service will be much cheaper, however, many mothers still prefer otherwise. Hiring a foreign maid will not cost less.)

For a professional or graduate mother, the opportunity cost to give up their career for is higher. Yet, for many of them, the desire of being with children is stronger than the desire in advancing personal career. One of mothers told me this way: “God has chosen me to be the mother for my son, this is my first duty.” If there is God’s will for you to be a Full time mother, He will surely meet you all your needs in motherhood with grace and mercy.
